Sajeevan, Ramya

Kochi: Reports on police statement given by Sajeevan, who confessed to murdering his wife Ramya at Edavanakkad here, have emerged. Police were suspicious about his words and conduct during the probe on missing woman complaint he lodged. In detailed questioning, the narrative he built fell flat. He had no other way than confessing to the crime. Suspicion over cheating was the trigger factor behind the crime, officials said.

According to police statement, Sajeevan strangled Ramya to death by using rope that had been used to hang clothes. After the act he buried her on the premise of house. He set ablaze the rope and her phone. He made no change in his routine and went for painting work on the very next day of the crime.
