Kochi Metro to reach SN Junction in 2 years
Kochi: Kochi Metro Rail Limited has announced that the metro route from Petta to SN junction will become a reality in two years. The load test for this route has been completed ahead of the construction process.
The KMRL authorities claimed that the load test was a success and that the metro construction in the new route will be completed without any delay in construction. This is the first time that KMRL is directly overseeing the construction.
The construction responsibility has been handed over to Mumbai-based KEC International and China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation. The estimated cost of construction stands at Rs 299 crores.
This metro route will cover Vadakkekotta and SN Junction. Later, it will be extended to Thrippunithura railway station.
