Kochi: A woman was stabbed in her neck following a tussle with a man in the city on Tuesday noon. Soorya (27), an employee of ‘Ray’s Travel Bureau’, a travel agency, was severely injured in the attack and has been taken to a hospital.
Police have taken Palluruthy native Jolly, the accused, into custody.
Police said that a quarrel over Jolly's visa delay led to the attack. He had paid some amount for the process. When he came to inquire about the update, he carried a knife and attacked the woman inside the office.
Soorya ran into a nearby restaurant. The employees took her to the hospital.
Police said the accused is being questioned and as of now, there is no threat to the life of Soorya.
