Kochi: The council meeting of Kochi Municipal Corporation ended in a stalemate after UDF and other independent councillors demanded Mayor M Anilkumar’s resignation over the Brahmapuram fire.
The protesting councillors reiterated that they will not cooperate with the administration until Anilkumar is removed from the post.
UDF members disrupted the municipal council meeting and chanted slogans. They are planning to move a move no-confidence motion against the Mayor. UDF is also seeking the support of independent and BJP councillors for the same.
