Kochi: The Kochi City Police Commissioner CH Nagaraju informed that the investigation over the death of three, including former beauty pageants, in the car crash is in its final stage. He said that the search to retrieve the hard disk from the backwaters is progressing.

The search is carried out with the help of underwater camera which helps to see the bottom of the waterbed. All the suspects will be quizzed again. Abdul Rehman, who drove the car, was interrogated on Monday also and some discrepancies have been spotted in his statements. It will be confirmed after comparing with the statements of others who all attended the DJ party. When asked whether any VIPs or police officers have attended the party, the commissioner said that the police are probing. He added that it will surface only after examining the hard disk.

The Commissioner joined the investigation team after leave and further probe will continue under him.

The investigation team had earlier stated that there are no mysteries over the death. However, commissioner CH Nagaraju, in his talk with the media, asserted that many puzzles still exist in the case.

Meanwhile, police informed that the help of fishermen will be sought to locate the hard disk. They said that a fisherman had got the hard disk which was tangled in his fishing net on Monday around 10 am near Kannangattu bridge. But as he could not recognise it, he threw it back into the water.

The search for the hard disk with the help of navy, coast guard and coastal police was held on Tuesday, which was of no avail.
