Thiruvananthapuram: Vadakara MLA K K Rema received a death threat in the name of ‘Payyannur comrades’. The threat letter reads “If she intends to receive applause by raising accusations against Pinarayi Vijayan and the left front, she will have to face the consequences, no matter the party loses power." KK Rema handed over the letter to the state police chief and lodged a complaint.

KK Rema had called Pinarayi Vijayan ‘a moving emergency’. The remarks of MM Mani against Rema had sparked a huge controversy in the state. She has received the threat following these issues. The letter was sent to the MLA hostel address for Rema.

“Are you not ashamed to ask MM Mani to apologise? How could you be an MLA with the support of Congress if you remember the martyrs of Onchiyam? What shall we call you, other than a traitor? It is better for VD Satheesan, K Muraleedharan and KC Venugopal to be a little cautious hereafter. We will settle scores when you arrive at Payyannur next time,” the letter noted.
