Vadakara: Revolutionary Marxist Party leader KK Rema received a threatening letter which she claimed as the third letter sent to her after being elected as Vadakara MLA. Though complaints were lodged several times, no action was taken yet.

Rema received the first letter at her Vadakara office in July 2021. Soon she filed a complaint at Kozhikode Rural SP as the letter claimed to kill her son Abinand and RMP state secretary N Venu.

The second letter was sent to the address of MLA hostel, eight months after receiving the first letter. Following this, a complaint was lodged to DGP. Rema and RMP leadership alleged that no probe or action proceeded in this case also.

The recently received third letter was posted from Taliparamba. Rema accused the police department of being reluctant to take up the probe.

A gunman has been appointed for the security of KK Rema after being elected as MLA.
