Palakkad: Renowned researcher and anthropologist Dr PRG Mathur passed away. He was 88.
Mathur had studied the Adivasi communities in Kerala extensively. He was also an activist who tried to improve the lives of tribals in Attappady and Wayanad.
He was the founding director and special officer to Kerala institute for Research Training and Development studies of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (KIRTADS).
Mathur has also worked as consultant to state and central backward commissions.
He has published multiple research papers.
