More scams of Monson uncovered; cheated Rs 1.62 cr promising 500 acres land in Wayanad

Thrippunithura: Crime Branch police have found that Monson had promised 500 acres of a coffee plantation in Wayanad, which is under the Madhya Pradesh govt, for lease. Police arrested him in this cheating case as well. The arrest was registered after reaching Kakkanad jail.

He cheated Pathanamthitta native Rajeev after accepting Rs 1.62 cr on the promise of getting 500 acres of land in Wayanad which is owned by the Madhya Pradesh government. This land belongs to a woman from Madhya Pradesh. After her demise, the land automatically comes under the MP govt.

Pandalam Srivalsam Group owner was also cheated of Rs 6.27 crore. Monson showed documents of money in the bank. He convinced them saying the amount came from the sale of antiques to the UAE royal family.

Monson had told the complainants that he had many friends in Mumbai. He also told the complainants fictitious stories including shooting a person and hanging the body from the pillar of the metro. He showed the complainants all three guns on the shelf of his bedroom.
