Thiruvananthapuram: The Cabinet approved the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board’s (KIIFB) project to start a company named KIIFCON Private Limited to provide consultancy services for infrastructure development projects.
Technical support will be provided for sectors including development, energy and resources, and harbours. This will also include traffic, buildings, mechanical, electrical and plumbing services. The company aims to bring multiple consultancy services under one umbrella and transfer knowledge in technology to sectors that may require it.
KIIFCON will be a private limited company with an authorized capital of Rs 1 crore. In the first phase, KIIFB will own 100 per cent share of the company. Later, according to the decision taken by the director board, a maximum of 51 per cent shares will be allowed to leading companies through disinvestment. Functional directors will be appointed for a term of minimum five years.
