KIIFB is transparent; ready to explain, says Thomas Isaac
Thiruvananthapuram: Finance minister Thomas Isaac on Sunday said that Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB) is transparent.
Stating that details regarding KIIFB can be checked online, Isaac said he would provide any explanation if Ramesh Chennithala needs. The finance minister’s statements were in response to the opposition leader’s corruption allegations regarding KIIFB.
Thomas Isaac said that the KIIFB CEO will explain matters to Ramesh Chennithala and added that that if the opposition leader was not satisfied, he himself would explain. Isaac wondered which other project was there in Kerala that was more transparent than KIIFB.
Earlier in the day, Ramesh Chennithala had posed 10 questions to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan alleging that there was largescale corruption in the projects undertaken by Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) through KIIFB.
The questions are regarding the alleged irregularities regarding the tender process of the projects, Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB) loan, estimate and appointment of chief engineer. The Congress leader took to his official Facebook page to pose the questions.
