Key of ambulance goes missing; chokes traffic for an hour in Angadipuram
Angadipuram: An ambulance driver has lodged a complaint after the key of his ambulance went missing. The ambulance that was on its way to take a mobile freezer that had been rented by the family of a deceased, lost its key and caused a traffic block. The incident happened on Tuesday evening.
The private ambulance was going to retrieve the freezer rented to store the body of Devidas, a 68-year-old man. The vehicle was parked under the bridge near his house and not on the premises of his house. According to the complaint filed, few people phoned the driver and spoke to him in an impolite manner and asked him to remove the vehicle from the road. The ambulance driver informed them about the circumstances under which the vehicle was parked there. But when the driver and others got back to the ambulance with the freezer, they noticed that the key was missing.
The driver tried the phone number from which he had received the call but didn’t connect through and they could not find the key. The ambulance was parked on the road for nearly an hour causing traffic block. Three of the local men took charge of directing other vehicles and diverted them through another route. Later on, the electrician arrived and detached the key locking part from the vehicle and the ambulance was moved from there.
