Kerala reports 4 new Omicron cases; state's tally climbs to 15

Thiruvananthapuram: Four more people were tested positive for coronavirus variant Omicron in the state on Monday. With this, the total tally of the omicron cases in the state touched 15.

All four patients are from Thiruvananthapuram district. The mother of the 17-year-old boy who arrived from the UK and tested positive for Omicron is the first one among the new Omicron patients. His grandmother, who was on the primary contact list was also tested positive for the variant.

In addition, a 27-year-old who arrived from the UK and a 32-year-old man from Nigeria were confirmed of Omicron infection. The 27-year-old man who came from the UK was in quarantine. The Nigeria returnee was tested COVID positive at the airport.
