Kochi: Monson Mavunkal, accused in the antique fraud case, has also committed fraud involving the name of a temple in Nagaland. Monson claimed that he had in his possession a temple dome with iridium inside it. To strengthen this claim, Monson has forged a fake document under the name of DRDO.

However, the Crime Branch found that the temples in Nagaland did follow the Kerala-style domes used in its architecture. The investigation also revealed that a box bearing the name of the East India Company was destroyed just before Monson was arrested by the police.

Meanwhile, police are yet to take any action on the allegations made against the doctors who examined the victim in the POCSO case registered against Monson. The victim alleged that doctors threatened and locked her in a room on behalf of Monson.
