Martin and Family
Kottayam: In an unfortunate event, all 6 members of a family lost their lives in a landslide that hit Koottickal, Kottayam on Saturday.
Martin (47), his mother Annakutty (65), Martin's wife Sini (35) and his three children Sneha (13), Sona (10) and Sandra (9) went missing after a major landslide occurred in the near vicinity of the house. Five bodies have been recovered after hours of rescue operations on Sunday. Except for Martin, the rest of the bodies were found where their house was located. Martin's body was found about a kilometre away from the spot. The rescue personnel are continuing the search operations here.
The rescue operation is currently ongoing under the guidance of Minister V.N.Vasavan and others.
