Adopt stray dogs; Kozhikode corporation to organise 'Bow Bow Fest' on Nov 29


Kozhikode: As a major initiative to adopt stray dogs, Kozhikode corporation is organising a special camp 'Bow Bow Fest' here at Tagore Hall on November 29. The camp has been organised in collaboration with organizations that enable street dogs to be adopted and raised at home.

There will be more than 30 puppies vaccinated against measles in the camp ready to be adopted.

These puppies are under the care of ABC (Animal Birth Control) system, and Care and People for Animal welfare organisations. Those interested should register at a link available on the Corporation's website along with a valid identity card. One can also register in person at the camp, which starts at 11 am.

The camp is the first of its kind initiative from the Kozhikode corporation. However, the corporation has already given 19 puppies for adoption.

The adoption is part of the ABC’s programme for street sterilization. The camp is now being conducted as per the directions of the Kerala High Court.
