Kasaragod: A worker was killed and two others were injured in a blast that occurred at a quarry in Koliyar here on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Rameshan(50).
Meantime, two other workers were admitted to the private hospital with minor injuries.
The accident happened around 3 pm inside a shed close to the quarry. There was heavy rain and thunderstorms in the area before the incident.
According to police, the explosion might have been a result of the explosive devices coming in contact with the lightning.
