Kochi: In an interesting turn of events, CBI in their report stated that police tried to sabotage the Thalassery Fasal murder case by using Subeesh's false statement despite it being outrightly questionable.
CBI also pointed out that Subeesh was taken into custody on the instructions of Kannur DySP PP Sadanandan and police recorded his statement as per their wish. The CBI report also said that the audio recordings submitted by the police were not credible.
According to the investigation report, the police tried to sabotage the case during trial. According to the report, Subeesh, an RSS activist, was forced to make a false statement that the RSS was behind the Fasal murder with a clear intention to sabotage the case.
The report also claims that Subeesh’s statement was recorded even before his arrest in the Koothuparamba Mohanan murder case.
The CBI has said that Kodi Suni and his gang were behind the murder and that Karayi Rajan and Chandrasekharan were the masterminds behind the crime.
