ED raids Popular Front, SDPI centers across Kerala

Kochi: The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) conducted raids at various offices of Popular Front and SDPI in the state here on Wednesday. The raids are being carried out at various centres in Kannur, Muvattupuzha, Malappuram and Idukki. It is learned that the probe is focused on black money transactions in the state.

Meanwhile, a protest ensued after ED officials raided the house of SDPI leader Shafeeq. During the raid, party workers gathered in front of the house, chanting slogans and protesting against the officials.

Similarly, raids were held at the residence of Popular Front Perumbadappu Division President Razak Kuttikadan. Meantime, SDPI and Popular Front activists, who came to protest, had an altercation with officials and police.

Following the Delhi riots, ED officials raided the residence of various Popular Front leaders. But more details of the raid are yet to be released by the officials.
