Thiruvananthapuram: CPM district secretary Anavoor Nagappan on Saturday criticized the way the media handled Anupama’s child adoption case. “It is fair that the mother should get her child back. But, the media is conveniently disregarding and forgetting many things for the sole reason that their family members are CPM loyalists,” he wrote in his Facebook post.

He said that Ajith maintained a relationship with Anupama without even divorcing his first wife. He divorced his wife only after a child was born to Anupama, and even the divorce was made by pressure, without providing alimony, Anavoor Nagappan alleged.

He also wrote that those who back the anti-CPM sentiment in the case should also think about the future of Ajith’s abandoned wife.
