Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Wednesday announced that the state will open ‘digital de-addiction centres’ for children addicted to online games.

The centres will be under the supervision of the police at the range level and will be expanded to the district level. CM pointed out that the exact number of children addicted to online games is still unknown.

However, CM informed the assembly that necessary actions are being taken in certain reported cases.

The Chief Minister was responding to a question raised by MLA AN Shamseer and MLA Linto Joseph during a question hour in the Kerala Assembly.
