Thiruvananthapuram: The CPM state secretariat on Monday issued a statement requesting the SDPI and the BJP to end political killings that disrupt peace and tranquillity that prevails in the state. The statement was made in the wake of the Alappuzha double murder. CPM claimed that certain people are trying to disrupt the law and order situation in the state and blame the government for civil unrest.
The murders in the Alappuzha, in which two communal forces came face to face, are a challenge to humanity and peaceful life. The attacks are part of a conspiracy to overthrow the peaceful life in the state, the statement read.
Secularists should come forward condemning the communal forces who are trying to cause disruptions. Kerala has one of the best law and order situations in the country, the statement read.
CPM also accused that the social media was being misused to create a rift between people. The statement condemned the comments of BJP and Congress leaders against the state government.
