Sachin will don the prestigious Indian jersey in the upcoming World Bodybuilding Championship and Asian-South Asian Championships
Elathur: A determined young laborer, Sachin, is set to don the prestigious Indian jersey in the upcoming World Bodybuilding Championship and Asian-South Asian Championships. Hailing from Poothamkutty House in Chettikulam, Sachin has been relentlessly training amidst hardships to compete on behalf of his country. He will showcase his skills in the men's '180 cm' category, following his selection trial in Goa.
Guided by the Kerala team coach A. Girishan, Sachin's rigorous training takes place at 'Oxygen Body Fitness' in Puthiyangadi. He recently achieved the ‘Mr. Kerala’ title in a competition organized by the Body Building Federation. Notably, Sachin has secured the District Champion title for three consecutive years. Hailing from a fisherman family, Sachin has carved a niche for himself as a dedicated bodybuilder.
The South Asian Bodybuilding Championship is scheduled to take place in Maldives from July 5 to 9, followed by the Asian Championship in Nepal during the first week of September. However, the date for the World Championship is yet to be announced. Sachin is currently seeking sponsors to alleviate the financial burden associated with participating in these prestigious events. He is supported by his wife, Harita, and their son, Srihari.
