Kochi: Many of the guidelines in the revised lockdown protocol of the state government are practically impossible to be implemented, said traders in the High Court. The court was considering a petition filed by the Kerala Vyapari Vyavasayi Ekopana Samithi.

The court questioned the necessity to move ahead with petition as shops have been allowed to open six days a week. However, the counsel, who appeared on behalf of the traders, requested intervention of the court by terming the guidelines unpragmatic.

Various organisations across Kerala have also approached the High Court with petitions on the same issue. All petitions questioned the veracity of TPR-based restrictions. Due to this reason, Justice P B Suresh Kumar directed all petitioners to make some changes in their pleas. The court will consider the petitions again next week.
