Thrissur: Complaints are rife alleging that the candidate, who came first in the recruitment to the post of guest lecturer in Thrissur Kerala Varma College, is being pressured by the Students Federation of India (SFI) to withdraw the appointment.
According to the complaint, a head of the department has intervened to appoint a former SFI leader to the post. WhatsApp chats between the candidate and a teacher of the college have also surfaced on social media.
The complaint was lodged in connection with the guest lecturer appointments in the political science department of the college. Interview for the post was conducted earlier.
“A former SFI leader secured second rank in the interview. Many people called me on the phone and wanted to withdraw from the recruitment. I had lodged a complaint with the head of the department in connection with the incident. But, no action was taken,” said the candidate.
The SFI had also staged a protest at the college demanding appointment of the former leader the other day.
