Kerala vaccinates 80.17 pc of people with first dose
Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has informed that Kerala achieved crucial success in the vaccination drive against COVID-19. It is revealed that 80.17 percent of the adult population received the first dose of vaccine.
32.17 percent of the adults in the state took their second jab. Till date, the state administrated over 3 cr vaccine doses, added the CM.
“The Kerala government aims to vaccinate the maximum number of people to make them safe from the virus. Vaccinating 80 percent of the adult population is a crucial achievement. The government is trying to vaccinate the rest of the adults with the first dose in September itself,” explained Pinarayi Vijayan.
He also expressed relief over the fall in COVID-19 cases within a week.
Compared to last week, confirmed COVID cases and active cases were decreased by 6 percent and 21 percent respectively in the state.
