Kerala State School Kalolsavam: Guests to be gifted books signed by writers from Kozhikode

Kozhikode: Guests who will take part in the opening and closing ceremony of the 61st Kerala State School Kalolsavam will be gifted books signed by writers from Kozhikode.

As many as 61 writers will give a signed book for the kalolsavam. The festival committee will collect the signed books from the houses of the writers. Minister K Rajan will receive the first book from MT Vasudevan Nair on December 23.

A souvenir comprising writings on the history of the arts festival, education and cultural heritage among other things will be released. Works of MT Vasudevan Nair, P Valsala, Prof. T Shobheendran, MN Karassery, PK Gopi, Kalpetta Narayanan, Santhosh George Kulangara and PT Usha will be included in the souvenir.

A total of 12,000 copies of the 158-page souvenir would be released. Chief whip Dr N Jayaraj will receive the souvenir from minister K Rajan on January 7 at the closing ceremony of the arts festival.
