Around 400 people used the new way of purchase.

Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala State Beverages Corporation sold liquor worth Rs. 6.3 lakh in two days using the new online payment method implemented in three outlets.

Around 400 people used the onlione way of purchase. The corporation is planning to offer the feature in 22 more outlets.

Currently, the online purchase is offered at Thiruvananthapuram Pazhavangadi, Kozhikode Pavamani Road and Kochi Market Road outlets.

The liquor is booked online. The bottle can be collected from the outlets later. This measure hopes to reduce the infamous ‘beverages queue’ which mostly gets nasty for the billing process.

The corporation has also added a new feature on their website to know the live stock details. Users can check if their favourite liquor brand is available in the outlet before booking.
