Thiruvananthapuram: Anupama, former SFI leader who is in search of her baby who was allegedly taken away by her parents, has begun an indefinite strike in front of the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) office from Thursday onwards.

Anupama demanded that the government should take care of the child till the case is over, and that Kerala State Council for Child Welfare general secretary Shiju Khan and CWC chairperson N Sunanda should be removed from their posts.

Anupama is staging the protest raising these demands. She also demanded action against all officials who are facing allegations in connection with the case.

Those who adopted the baby are taking good care of him. I am grateful to them for that. The people who were responsible for the whole incident should think the emotional trauma experienced by the couple and me, Anupama said.
