Thrissur: BJP spokesperson B Gopalakrishnan stated that Kerala is becoming a fertile land for the BJP. He also said that Kerala should be Congress-free as part of Congress-free India. But that does not mean a Kerala filled with communists.
The BJP spokesperson said that there are people in the BJP and outside who feel that the party’s main objective in Kerala is to defeat the Left parties. The circumstances in the past have often validated this point of view. This has slowed down BJP's progress.
The times are changing now. Kerala is becoming a more fertile place for BJP. The saffron party should defeat Congress politically and CPM ideologically. Even though it may not be possible to defeat both of them politically, huge trees can be uprooted while ploughing, he stated.
Gopalakrishnan also added that both Tripura model and Thillangari model have to be experimented. It is true that anti-Left sentiments have often benefitted the Congress party. BJP is currently at a phase where it is being accepted by the public. For BJP to reach number 1 position, it has to defeat the second place holder, he added.
