Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala University senate meeting will be convened on Friday in the midst of ongoing tussles with chancellor Arif Mohammed Khan. Though the chancellor has directed the senate to recommend a representative to the search committee for the appointment of vice-chancellor, the subject has not been included in the meeting agenda.
In the meeting held in August 2022, the senate had resolved to demand the governor to repeal his action of forming a search committee with only two members. The senate will review this resolution today.
A case in connection with the search committee is under consideration of the Kerala High Court.
