Kerala schools to reopen for classes 1-9 on Monday


Minister V Sivankutty said that the decision on the conduct of classes till the evening will be taken only after reviewing the current Covid statistics.

  • The classes will be held only till the afternoon. 
  • Classes for 10, 11 and 12 restarted last Monday.

Thiruvananthapuram: The classes for students from first to ninth standard will recommence on Monday. The classes will be held only till afternoon.

Anganwadis and kindergartens will also reopen on Monday. Minister V Sivankutty said that the decision on the conduct of classes till the evening will be taken only after reviewing the current Covid statistics. It was said in the last Covid review meeting that the classes will be conducted till evening from the end of this month.

The schools will follow the same guidelines that were given when they reopened last December. Classes for 10, 11 and 12 restarted last Monday. These classes are being held in batches till the evening.
