Kerala reports 4 Covid deaths on Saturday; 3 from Kondotty alone
Malappuram: One more person succumbed to COVID-19 in the state. Malappuram native Koyamu (82) died on Saturday morning at Manjeri Medical College. This is the third COVID death reported from Kondotty region after disease transmission started in the area.
Koyamu was admitted to the hospital due to breathing difficulties on July 29. He was subjected to plasma therapy treatment as his condition was very critical.
However, his condition deteriorated further on Friday. Apart from respiratory problems, Koyamu was also a patient of Alzheimer’s disease. 10 members of his family have tested positive for COVID-19, including his wife and children.
Meanwhile, two more people who died on Friday have also tested COVID positive. Pattambi native Koran (80) and senior socialist leader, Alunkal Devassy, have tested positive following their death. Thodupuzha special branch SI, Ajithan (51), who was under treatment for COVID also died on Friday.
