Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala has reported 29 new cases of Omicron variant of Covid-19 on Monday, informed health minister Veena George. With this, the total tally has gone up to 181.
New cases: Thiruvananthapuram- 10, Alappuzha- 7, Thrissur- 6, and Malappuram- 6.
While two contracted the virus through local transmission, two were returnees from high-risk countries and others were from low-risk countries.
As many as 42 patients are discharged so far, the minister said. As of now, 139 are under treatment. The state has not reported any deaths due to the Omicron variant.
