Thiruvananthapuram: The driver who drove a KSRTC bus through flooded road in Poonjar here has been suspended.

S Jayadeep of Erattupetta depot has been suspended for driving the bus into the flooded road in a way that could pose threat to the lives of passengers and inflict damage to the bus.

The action was initiated against the driver following the direction of Minister of Transport Antony Raju.

The KSRTC bus got stuck in the flood water in front of St Mary’s church at Poonjar here on Saturday.
