Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala will receive heavy rainfall on Tuesday too, forecasted the India Meteorological Department. As per IMD alert, a new low-pressure area is likely to form over the Bay of Bengal on Tuesday and the Arabian sea on Wednesday. A cyclonic circulation is still existing in the northeast Arabian sea coast and nearby coasts including Maldives and Lakshadweep.

It is predicted that the low-pressure area is likely to intensify in the Bay of Bengal within 48 hours.

IMD advised the fishermen not to venture into the sea in Kerala and Karnataka coasts on Monday and Tuesday.

“Squally winds speed reaching 40-50 kmph gusting to 60 kmph very likely along and off Kerala coast,” reads the IMD alert.
