Kerala: Price of commercial gas cylinder drops; kerosene breaches Rs 100/l mark

Kochi: The price of 19kg-commercial LPG cylinder has been reduced by Rs 169 in Kerala in line with price reduction across India. At present, the rate at Kochi is Rs 2054.50. The price of commercial gas cylinder was reduced by Rs 134 on June 1. The rate reduction comes as a relief for small hoteliers and road side eatery operators.

Meanwhile, the ration kerosene price in the state breached Rs 100/l mark. The oil companied hiked Rs 14/l in the view of next three months. The hike comes as a blow to the fisherfolk who rely on kerosene for boat operation as it in turn will increase their operational cost.
