Muraleedharan was the campaign head of the state Congress during the Lok Sabha elections, 2019.

New Delhi: K Muraleedharan MP was appointed as the chairman of the campaign committee of Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee on Friday. This is the second time the veteran leader is getting appointed in the post.

Muraleedharan was the campaign head of the state Congress during the Lok Sabha elections, 2019. He resigned ahead of the state assembly elections following issues with the then KPCC chief Mullappally Ramachandran. He alleged that party lacks internal consultations.

Muraleedharan lost to V Sivankutty from Nemom constituency in 2021 assembly elections. His name surfaced both for KPCC president and the UDF convenor posts. However, the A and the I groups were not in favour of him.

2024 Lok Sabha elections will be the first challenge in front of him.
