Kerala police help desperate 68-yr-old man who failed to find unknown girlfriend
Koothuparamba (Kannur): A 68-year-old man got into trouble after his search of a girlfriend, whom he got acquainted with through phone calls, did not yield result. However, Kerala police helped the man to overcome the pain and gave him the travel fare to go back.
The man reached Koothuparamba in search of the friend but the mobile number in which he contacted her was switched off. With the available details in hand, he travelled to various locations and did a rigorous search to find her with the help of an auto rickshaw driver. It took hours for him to realise that the woman was a cheat.
The man did not even have money to pay the fare to the rickshaw driver. He was taken to Koothuparamba police station and there he opened up his mind. Hearing the sad story, police tried to help him and even contacted the woman. She admitted to the police that they were in touch over phone for three months and was not interested to meet him in person.
The wife of the man passed away and he has children and grandchildren. The woman is a widow and financially weak. He came to meet her by hearing her sad story and to help. Finally, police consoled him and pooled in some money for the man to return home.
