Kochi: Fraudster Monson Mavunkal's connection with the former police chief and present MD of Kochi Metro Loknath Behra has come under the scanner. It is learnt that there are subtle moves against Behera at the political level and within the police department over his link with the fraudster. Some of the left parties have been raising demand to remove Behera from the post until the completion of the probe into the case.
Notably, the photo of Behra and ADGP Manoj Abraham along with Monson Mavunkal surfaced on social media and it went viral.
Similarly, Behra’s directive to install Beat Box in front of Monson’s house has been receiving flak. Usually, Beat Box will be installed in financial institutions, places of worship and main junctions. The police removed the beat box after media reports on the same triggered a controversy.
