Man held for threatening Kerala CM


Thiruvananthapuram: Police have nabbed a man on charges of sending a message threatening Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. The man is identified as Vaikom native Shiva Kumar. He was taken into custody while travelling to Ernakulam from Kottayam.

He had sent the message to the Cliff House three days ago. Kumar threatened to endanger CM if there is no action against police officers who manhandled his friend. The police initiated a probe into the threatening message and nabbed him.

Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu police had earlier arrested another person who threatened to place bombs in important places in Kerala including Cliff House. Police arrested Prem Raj, a Bengaluru native in connection with the incident. Police informed that Prem Raj is suffering from depression due to crisis in his business. He made similar threats to other states too, they said.
