Kochi: Amid various speculations associated with the death of Ansi Kabeer and Anjana Shajan, leading fashion show director and choreographer, Dalu Krishnadas, has come out expressing his concerns over the rumours. He was also present at the hotel with Ansi Kabeer and Anjana Shajan on October 31. Dalu Krishnadas was part of the controversial South Indian TV reality show Malayalee House.
“Who was the VIP present at the party? I couldn't find any VIP there. I was in the hotel till 10 pm. Baseless facts have been circulated on the media without cross-checking information. Another report says the party was organised by leading choreographers in South India. I have no clue about the sources from where they get these reports,” said Dalu.
First of all, it was not a night party, added Dalu. “We all came together to have food and beverage at the restaurant in No.18 hotel. On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays music is played at the restaurant,” he added.
"Ansi Kabeer was groomed up by me for the Miss Malabar contest in 2017. Later she won the Miss Kerala title in 2019 and a few months ago the Miss South India title too. She had an exceptional presence of mind and great talent. She was a beauty with brains. She was preparing to contest for the Miss India title,” said Dalu.
"I met her during the party and she seemed very much happy. The boys in the gang were under the influence of alcohol. I was shocked when I heard about the accident,” added Dalu.
Earlier, the waiter at the hotel, Sobin, told Mathrubhumi.com that there was no issue during the party. When asked about the reason why the hotel owner concealed the hard disk of the CCTV footage, he said, “There was an Excise raid, a day before the event. We were warned of cancelling the bar license for serving liquor after 9 pm. During the event as well, we served liquor till 11:30 pm. This must have been the reason why the owner destroyed the hard disk.”
Ansi Kabeer, Miss Kerala 2019 winner, along with Anjana Shajan (24), Miss Kerala 2019 runner up, and KA Muhammed Ashiq (25), died in a tragic accident on the Vyttila-Palarivattom National Highway bypass on November 1. The accident happened on their way back home from the No.18 hotel.
In the meantime, the father of Ansi Kabeer registered a complaint with Palarivattom Police Station alleging mysteries behind the accident.
