Six girls go missing from children's home in Kozhikode


Police are trying to locate the children as soon as possible by checking the CCTV footage of the areas in the vicinity.

Kozhikode: Six girls have gone missing from Children's Home for Girls in Vellimadukunnu here on Wednesday. As per the preliminary conclusion, the six girls used a ladder to descend from the top of the building. Chevayur police registered a missing case and launched a probe into the matter. Police are trying to locate the children as soon as possible by checking the CCTV footage of the areas in the vicinity.

Republic day celebrations were held at the Children's Home last day. It was after the Republic Day celebrations that the children reportedly went missing. Of the six who have gone missing, five are from Kozhikode and one hails from Kannur. All six girls are under the age of 18.
