Thiruvananthapuram: Kenzia’s parents do not know how to thank the big-hearted people who showered them with their love and helped them collect the whopping amount of Rs 35 lakh needed for the treatment of the little one. Kenzia was born with a hearing impairment. Mathrubhumi.com had published a story about the little girl Kenzia seeking the help of others to meet the expenses of the cochlear implant surgery.
Her father Natesh said that they are closing the account as they have collected the amount required for the surgery. Kenzia is the daughter of Thiruvananthapuram natives Natesh and Hemalatha. Kenzia’s doctors had informed her parents that the child would get around 90 percent hearing through the cochlear implant surgery.
The surgery is scheduled for January 15. The amount collected must be submitted on January 8 to order the device from Mumbai. This device will be implanted on the child's head through the surgery. The family is planning to go ahead with the surgery as they have received the amount needed to meet the medical expenses.
