Cartoonist Yesudasan, 83, passes away


Popular Malayali cartoonist Yesudasan passed away. He was 83.

Kochi: Popular cartoonist from Kerala Yesudasan passed away on Wednesday morning. He was 83. He was under treatment for post-Covid-19 complications in Kochi.

Born in Bharanikkavu in Alappuzha district, he started his career in a local magazine in 1955. He worked with various newspapers and magazines as a political cartoonist.

Yesudasan has authored four books. He also wrote the dialogues for the film ‘Panchavadippalam’.

He has served as chairman of the state Lalithakala Akademi and as founder chairman of the Kerala Cartoon Academy.
