Kerala NDA rejig: P C Thomas made national representative
Kozhikode: A meeting of NDA in Kerala, convened by BJP National President Amit Shah here today, selected BJP state President Kummanam Rajasekharan as Chairman and BDJS leader Thushar Vellappally as its convener.
Rajeev Chandrasekhar MP will be appointed Vice chairman of the alliance. Kerala Congress leader P C Thomas will represent Kerala at NDA National Committee, BJP state President Kummanam Rajasekharan said in a press conference today.
P K Krishnadas (BJP), V Muraleedharan (BJP) and C K Janu (Janadhipathya Rashtriya Sabha) Rajan Kannattu (Kerala Congress) and Rajan Babu (JSS) will be co-conveners.
O Rajagopal MLA, LJP state President M Mehaboob, Socialist Janata Party President V V Rajendran, Nationalist Kerala Congress President Kuruvila Mathew, Praja Socialist Party Secretary K K Ponnappan, BDJS leaders B Suresh Babu, V Gopakumar and Sunil Thekkedath are other members.
Amit Shah has directed the state leadership to accelerate efforts to attract the Christian community towards NDA, after a meeting with P C Thomas.
