Kerala Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) will usher in the New Year by making all its offices online.
From January 1, 2021, all services offered by MVD, except driving tests, will be available online. People usually come to the MVD office to pay taxes and take permits. These facilities will now be available online.
Once the MVD shifts online, non-residential Indians will be able to renew their driving licenses without returning to India.
These measures are being implemented to reduce the number of people approaching RTO offices for services.
