Thiruvananthapuram: India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted isolated rainfalls accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning in several parts of Kerala on Sunday and Monday. Squally weather with wind speeds ranging from 30 to 40 kmph is likely to prevail in the state, informed IMD.

In addition to this, the department forecasted light to moderate rainfall in the state from April 11 to 13. The Kerala State Disaster Management Authority has alerted the public to maintain caution on account of the IMD forecast.

Meanwhile, IMD has predicted moderate rainfall over Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal on Sunday while forewarning a gradual rise in maximum temperature by 3-5 degrees Celsius over most parts of the country during the next 3-5 days. However, there will be no significant heatwave conditions over any part of the country during the said period.
