Kochi: The Malayalam actress who got admitted to a hospital here has dismissed the allegations of suicide. The actress informed the police that she ended up in the hospital due to accidentally taking an overdose of sleeping pills.
However, the police officials were not fully convinced by the statement given by the actress. The actress was admitted to a private hospital on Tuesday after taking an overdose of sleeping pills. She is out of danger now, informed the doctors.
Meanwhile, some social media posts alleged that the actress had tried to commit suicide on grounds of the new developments in the actress assault case of 2017. Recently, the investigation team had asserted to examine the financial transactions of those who turned hostile in the case.
In the wake of new revelations about the actor assault case, the Crime Branch (CB) of Kerala Police has mooted a probe on financial sources of actors related to case. The move is based on the revelation by film director Balachandra Kumar.
