Visited Monson's house for a dance programme, says Sruthi Lakshmi

Kochi: Hours after appearing before the Enforcement Directorate for an interrogation, film actress Sruthi Lakshmi has revealed that she visited self-styled antique dealer Monson Mavunkal’s house for a dance programme. Addressing the media here on Tuesday, the actress asserted that she has no financial deals with Monson Mavunkal who is named as accused in many cases.

“Being an artiste I got acquainted with him through a coordinator. Monson’s staff called me for dance programmes at various events. Many pre-booked programmes were cancelled due to the COVID-19 outbreak. During this break time, I visited Monson’s house for a dance programme, Sruthi Lakshmi told ED during the interrogation.

“I never knew that he is a fraud. He never misbehaved with me. So, there was nothing suspicious in his character. I came to know about his criminal background through media reports," she added.
ED grilled the actress for over four hours at the Kochi office on Tuesday.
